Vail Valley Wine Auction moves to Beaver Creek

VAIL The Vail Valley Wine Auction has moved to Beaver Creek and is now part of Beaver Creeks Wine & Spirits Festival. The Eighth Annual Wine Auction will take place on Aug. 7 at 6 p.m. at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort & Spa. Proceeds from the evening will benefit local charities including the Bright Future Foundation, the Culinary Institute at Colorado Mountain College and the Vail Valley Rotary Clubs.The event consists of a five-course wine dinner attracting an all-star lineup of chefs, including Christoph Wagner from Rud-Aple in Lech, Austria; Marco Stabile from Ora DAria Ristorante in Florence, Italy; David Walford from Splendido in Beaver Creek; Paul Ferzacca from La Tour in Vail; and Ferid Rama and Pascal Coudouy from the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort & Spa.The silent and live auctions feature rare wines from a spectrum of wineries around the world as well as from the personal cellars of discriminating connoisseurs. The live auction also offers the opportunity to bid on custom vacation packages including a ski or hiking trip to Beaver Creeks sister resort in Lech-Zurs, Austria, a VIP wine and cultural trip to Florence, Italy, an exclusive getaway to a private home at Hawaiis Four Seasons, a wine trip to California, a racing and wine experience at the Moto GP in Estoril, Portugal, and an adventure to Argentinas wine country.Following the completion of the auction, there will be dancing and live music from Tina Marx and the Millionaires.Tickets to the wine auction are $200 and limited to 250 bidders.
