Vail Valley’s SOS Outreach seeks volunteers

Daily staff report
Vail, CO Colorado

EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado – SOS Outreach, an Avon-based youth development organization, is looking for community volunteers who want to work with disadvantaged youth on the mountain this season.

Volunteers will work with Learn to Ride, SOS Outreach’s largest winter program. It consists of five days of intensive snowboarding with the ski schools at Vail and Beaver Creek. Volunteers must know how to snowboard and will be with the kids for all five days as instructors and support staff. The first program begins in December, with other days continuing throughout the ski season. Volunteers should sign up before Nov. 18 by contacting program coordinator Ryan Robinson at 926-9292, ext. 105.

SOS Outreach’s year-round programs gives at-risk youth from the community a chance to enjoy the amenities the valley offers. For more information about the organization’s work or volunteering, go to
