VAIL — Celebrate the end of ski season at the Vail Vitality Center on Friday, with a high-energy yoga class led by Tara Goike with music from DJ Kirby K.
Goike will lead attendees through vinyasa yoga flows, while DJ Kirby K provides the musical soundscape. The two artists have been collaborating to teach classes like this for more than two years, Goike said.
“We have very similar tastes in music, and he suggested that we try to blend a yoga beats class together and it just completely fit,” Goike said. “His mix of down-tempo beats melts right into a vinyasa rhythmic flow. It’s a perfect match.”
This will be a strong, intermediate yoga practice that will challenge you but leave you in a state of bliss. Goike has taught various styles of yoga in the Vail Valley since 2003, obtaining more than 500 hours in different yoga teacher trainings during that time. She enjoys teaching a yoga flow sequence set to a live DJ, she said.
With musical roots that stretch back to downtown Denver in the early ’90s, DJ Kirby K is passionate about music. His knowledge of both deep house and tech house music sets him apart from others.
