Vail Vitality Center offers week-long yoga retreat
VAIL CO, Colorado
VAIL – Spring is a time of natural transformation; flowers begin to bloom, plants and trees are budding and many people are focused on spring-cleaning around the home. This March the Vitality Center is offering an opportunity for personal transformation with a unique weeklong yoga program focused on rekindling the flame. Warrior Cleanse Week, set for March 18-23, includes a daily yoga practice, as well as attention to nutrition and an exploration of patterns that hinder personal growth. Yoga teacher Gina Caputo will lead the classes. Participants will explore whole being health and purification using asana yoga sequences along with mantra, meditation and mindful consumption.
“This is a week-long daily practice where we will rekindle the sacred flame of life with humility and confidence,” said Caputo. “Participants should be prepared to embrace challenges in order to approach their true potential in strength, discipline, flexibility and inner peace.”
The week begins with an evening session where each participant will set an intention and their goals. Daily morning practices coincide with sunrise and will increase in intensity as the week progresses, culminating with a powerful Saturday morning practice. Following the final practice, the group will celebrate the transmutation of regressive patterns into vital energy with a closing ceremony.
“This is a paradigm-shifting experience of the power of hatha yoga,” Caputo said. “It may loom large in your mind before the week begins, but it will empower your heart forever.”
“What I love about this offering is that people who are coming into town that week can effectively turn their vacation into a yoga retreat, and people who live here can enjoy a yoga retreat for a fraction of the usual price, without having to travel,” said Julia Clarke, yoga coordinator at the Vail Vitality Center.
Caputo teaches vinyasa flow yoga and was the former director of Kansas Siddhi Yoga, which she founded in 2004. She has studied with some of today’s most renowned teachers. Her teachings are infused with her studies in the Krishnamacharya lineage, yogic philosophy, mindfulness, vitality and humor.
