VAIL, Colorado – Vail’s Cogswell Gallery presents Utah-based painter Allen Lund this weekend.

Lund spends his time in Idaho, Utah and Colorado and draws upon the western scenery to create his oil paintings. As the son of two renowned painters he grew up appreciating and learning art from his parents. At 25, he left a career as a stock broker and began painting professionally.

He now has a following of collectors in Vail, Beaver Creek and the surrounding area.

John Cogswell, the owner of the gallery, describes Lund as a “wonderful artist to work with.”

“He has done a number of commissions for public and private collectors alike in Colorado and nationally,” Cogswell says. “People really have an overwhelmingly positive response to his work and we feel you would love to meet him.”

Friday and Saturday, Lund will demonstrate his technique and showcase his brand new pieces, including his Native American series.
