Vail yoga studio hosts ‘personal transformation’ course
July 2, 2010
VAIL, Colorado – The Yoga Studio at the Vail Athletic Club is hosting “42 Days To Personal Transformation,” a six-week program of yoga, diet, and meditation starting July 5. “We all want to spend our summer outdoors, myself included, but it doesn’t have to be an either/or situation,” program leader Rachel Nelson said. “A healthy yoga practice can really improve your performance in biking, hiking, climbing, even kayaking, by offering greater flexibility as well as providing the balance we sometimes struggle to maintain in our lifestyles here. It is a great, safe way to begin a practice.”The course is open to non-members, and kicks off with an hour-long community meeting at 7:15 p.m., and participants will meet every Monday night until Aug. 16. The program encourages radical transformation offering unlimited yoga classes at the studio, encouraging daily meditation, suggestions for a healthier diet, as well as weekly support meetings and guidance from Nelson and teacher Julie Kiddoo.”It’s like peeling away layers of an onion,” Nelson said. “Once people see how much change they can ignite in just six weeks, they can’t stop. They walk out stronger, brighter, and happier.”The Yoga Studio at the Vail Athletic Club is in the Vail Mountain Lodge & Spa. For more information, go to vailathleticclub.com or call 970-476-7960.
