Vail’s Dr. Steadman wins Spirit of Betty Ford Award

VAIL ” Betty Ford Alpine Gardens in Vail, Colorado has named Dr. Richard Steadman this year’s recipient of the Spirit of Betty Ford Award.
Steadman is a founder of the world-renowned Steadman Hawkins Clinic based in Vail.
The Alpine Gardens created this award to recognize an individual in the Vail Valley whose spirit and character exemplifies that of former first lady Betty Ford, who was the first recipient of the award.
Betty Ford and her husband, the late former president Gerald Ford, had a home in the Vail Valley and were heavily involved in the community for many years.
