Vail’s Gallegos Corporation wins award
Vail, CO Colorado
VAIL, Colorado ” Vail’s Gallegos Corporation has received national acclaim for a project that took three years to complete. A custom-built home in the Roaring Fork Valley received the Prism Award from Coverings, an International Tile and Stone Expo, that “honors outstanding achievements in the use of natural stone.” The home displays stones from around the world, but was designed to complement its surrounding environment.
The project was unique on many levels, says Taylor Serson, project manager. Custom-cut large module, hand-chiseled granite cladding and roofing was used.
“We assisted in sourcing the granite based on the homeowner’s request for stone that matched the ochre-colored cliffs above the home,” Serson said. “The granite selected was quarried and fabricated in Brazil. The home is a masterpiece that I am proud to say Gallegos worked on.”
The home also required more than 7,000 square feet of Colorado buff sandstone paving and flooring that was cut and finished at the Gallegos Marble Shop.
The Gallegos Corporation is headquartered in Vail and has offices in Denver, Aspen, and Sun Valley, Idaho.
