Vail’s Imagination Station opens with party Nov. 8

VAIL, Colorado ” Imagination Station, the learning and discovery center in Vail, Colorado, will hold its annual season opening party from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 8.
Imagination Station is open to kids ages 2 through 12 and has hands-on science and art activities as well such as a giant marble wall, a paint-with-sand pendulum, and a black-light room, among others.
The party and food from Pazzo’s pizza and Subway are free. Imagination Station is located in the Lionshead parking garage above Subway.
“We have focused on making the look and feel of the Imagination Station very welcoming for the upcoming season,” said Chad Young, youth services director for the Vail Recreation District. “Additionally, we have enhanced the music area with new instruments and added quite a few new activities. You’re guaranteed to see something new at the party.”
The Imagination Station’s winter hours begin Dec. 1 and will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday through Friday.
Children ages three and older, who are potty-trained, also can be dropped off with Imagination Station staff for up to three hours for $10 per child, per hour. Reservations are required.
