Special to the Daily

VAIL, Colorado – These are the ones to watch – new and undiscovered artistic talent – honing their crafts right here in the Vail Valley. You may not recognize their names, but their works are worth a look.

On Wednesday nights starting tonight, Larkspur Restaurant in Vail will partner with Alpine Arts Center of Edwards to present an exhibit in the Golden Peak Lodge great room. Each week will feature 5 to 8 emerging artists – some painters, some photographers, some sculptors. A few will be working on current pieces during the exhibits. Attendees are welcome to visit with the artists.

The Alpine Arts Center, which Lauren Merrill opened in 2010, is dedicated to providing a diverse visual arts education for emerging and established artists of all ages. The center offers a broad spectrum of classes, open workshops, drop-in sessions, summer programs and more to foster the the visual arts throughout the Vail Valley and beyond.

The first exhibit is today from 5 to 10 p.m. Three additional exhibits will be held on July 7, July 14 and July 28. There is no charge for viewing the exhibit, and guests are welcome to enjoy Larkspur’s happy hour specials from 5 to 6 p.m. For additional info on the artists or the exhibition series, visit
