VAIL, Colorado – Samana Lounge in Vail Village is celebrating its sixth anniversary this weekend and will host two nights of free music. DJ Jon Nedza’s Time Machine will perform Friday and DJ Lito will spin Saturday night.

“Samana Lounge has truly become one of the best kept secrets in the Rockies, by bringing some of the world’s highest profile artists into their completely vibe’d out lounge that sounds, looks and feels amazing,” said Hunter Williams, the agent for Widespread Panic and Pretty Lights.

Samana provides an intimate space with a warm and welcoming vibe. The idea was to create a clean, comfortable and friendly environment focused on music; Samana does not have TV’s or video games, just low lights and candles. The comfortable lounge/club aims to bring in all types of music, from local bands and DJ’s to some of the bigger names on the national touring scene.

“We have had some great moments in this intimate, live setting,” said Darrin Pujulet of Particle. “It’s always a treat for us to play for the people of Vail. This is our venue of choice.”

From deep electronic music to bluegrass, hip-hop to house music, the crew at Samana works hard to consistently change the entertainment menu, said music director Scotty Stoughton.

“The vibe, decor, staff, sound and people of Samana makes for the best little club I have played for (and been) in the country,” said Peter Blick, a DJ and music promoter.
