VAIL — Tonight, Samana Lounge will host Reno-based duo Love and Light, the brain child of Matt Madonna and Ryan Anderson, which was founded in the Black Rock Desert of Nevada, forever transforming their lives at the Burning Man Festival.
Inspired to share the feelings of connectedness and offer the freedoms of a new musical experience to people around the world, Love and Light has grown to be not only a “DJ duo,” but pioneers of a potently exciting omni-genre experience. Love and Light appeals to an array of electronic dance music fans of glitchhop, house, dubstep, trance and downtempo because of the duo’s unique style of combining classic tracks, such as the Police’s “Roxanne,” with an up tempo electronic beat.
“The positive feedback from the (electronic dance music) community has expanded to all music lovers that has never been expressed like this before,” Matt Anderson said.
Love and Light aims to break the mold of the dance-music experience by providing a fresh and uplifting take on bass music that, unless you’ve heard the duo, you’ve likely never heard before.
“The live experience that Love and Light provides will woo music lovers, not just (electronic dance music) fans,” according to Samana’s talent buyer Ross Cohen.
