Samana Lounge in Vail Village is celebrating its three-year anniversary this week with an eclectic blend of live and electronic music from around the world.

Samana has been featured in Elle magazine, Skiing, Ski, Snowboarder, Delta’ in-flight magazine and numerous local and Front Range media and has been recognized as one of most exciting and creative dance lounges in the land, general manager Scott Stoughton said.

There’s a few key things that make Samana a special place, he said.

“The people who work at Samana and the pride we all take in creating a unique, friendly and uplifting nightclub experience. The attention to detail in all that we do really is appreciated by our regulars and guests alike.”

In the extremely competitive bar and club market, Samana has thrived by disregarding trends. The music is not top 40 but rich in international club flavor, from Madrid to London, New York to San Francisco.

“Any small business that makes it in this valley is special. With chains and corporate restaurants opening everywhere, I feel it is quite a feat to survive with something unique and alive with style,” Stoughton said.

Samana has hosted DJs like Mark Farina, Hybrid, Nicodemus, Bassnecter, Harvey, Garth, Greyboy, King Britt, Bunny and more. On the live side, look for the return of acts like Stanley Jordan, Cyrill Neville, Dr. John, Coolio, Drew Emmitt, Karl Denson, Particle and more.
