Vail’s Soul Music Fest to run contest

VAIL, Colorado – The Vail Soul Music Fest has announced the “Show Your Love” contest, which allows Vail’s best local and independent music artists the chance to win a spot in the limelight, with a stage performance during the festival.
The contest officially kicked off July 1 with applications accepted though July 31. Festival producers from Legacy Entertainment designed the Show Your Love contest to allow local artists the opportunity to reach out and ask their fans to “show your love” by voting for them and ultimately granting them a performance on stage during the festival.
Debuting in Vail Aug. 20-22, the festival is a three-day showcase of some of the freshest up-and-coming independent soul music artists, as well as renowned, award-winning soul music headliners including three-time Grammy nominee Raphael Saadiq, Grammy nominee Chrisette Michele, songwriter, producer and musician Dwele, emerging superstar Liv Warfield, and budding local Colorado musician Jonathan B. as headliners.
Musicians who perform rhythm and blues, conscious hip hop, alternative rock, blues and neo soul music are encouraged to apply. Indie artists who are interested in applying for the Show Your Love contest can visit http://www.VailSoulMusicFest.com to download an application. Completed applications can be submitted by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
The winning artist will perform at one of the events during the Vail Soul Music Festival.
During the last week of the contest, music from the top three competing finalists will be selected and posted on the festival website, http://www.VailSoulMusicFest.com. Here, fans artists earn exposure and have an opportunity to rally votes from fans.

Partnering radio stations will play music from the top three contestant’s music on-air. Artist will have an opportunity to sell their music, DVDs and merchandise at the festival. The winning artist will also win four tickets.
