Vail’s Tannenbaum festival to start Nov. 26

VAIL ” Vail, Colorado’s Tannenbaum Christmas Festival is being planned in Vail for Nov. 26 through Dec. 7.
The new festival will kick off the pre-holiday shopping and dining season in Vail with the Lighting of the Trees at dusk on Nov. 26, when town of Vail crews officially turns on holiday lighting displays.
There are several ways for businesses to participate in the Tannenbaum Festival:
– Each shop, restaurant and lodge can decorate outside windows to augment Vail’s lighting displays. Judging will occur for holiday decorations throughout Vail with winners announced for retail, restaurant and lodging businesses.
– Restaurants are encouraged to offer specials Nov. 26-Dec. 7, which will be advertised on the festival Web site, http://www.vailtannenbaumfestival.com, and through media outlets. Notify Colorado Ski Museum at 476-1876 or email@example.com with your specials or discounts by Friday to be included.
– All businesses are invited to donate a decorated wreath for a silent auction at the Ski Museum, with proceeds going to fund a new Vail history exhibit. Donated wreaths should be dropped off at the Ski Museum Nov. 25. Wreaths can be any size and made of any material.
There will be a Bernese Mountain Dog Club parade in Vail Village on Nov. 29 from 4 pm-5:30 pm. The mountain dogs led by holiday carolers will strut their stuff through the village.
