Valley restaurants join statewide fundraiser
EAGLE COUNTY – Vail Valley restaurants are among hundreds statewide participating on Wednesday in “Dine Out to Help Out,” the Colorado Restaurant Association’s hospitality-industry fundraiser benefiting Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita relief efforts. The effort makes it easy for patrons to give to Hurricane Katrina and Rita relief efforts. They simply have to go out and enjoy themselves at participating establishments, and the businesses do the giving by committing at least 10 percent of Wednesday’s sales.Participating Vail Valley restaurants include: Outback Steakhouse in Avon, La Scala Ristorante Italiano in Eagle, Fiesta’s and Main Street Grill in Edwards and Sweet Basil in Vail. More restaurants are signing up daily. For a complete list of participating restaurants, log on to http://www.coloradorestaurant.com for an updated list. While Dine Out to Help Out is asking participants to donate a minimum of 10 percent of sales that day, many will donate considerably higher percentages, and collect additional donations from patrons and employees.Vail, Colorado
