Daily staff report
VAIL CO, Colorado

Top Vail Valley restaurants are preparing their best dishes for the fifth annual Valley Tastings: Food for Youth, a benefit for Eagle River Youth Coalition’s (ERYC) youth and family collaborative efforts. Come out Thursday from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at Edwards Interfaith Chapel and Community Center to enjoy a taste of appetizers, entrees, desserts, wine and local beer.

This year’s participating restaurants include: The Gore Range Brewery, Vin48, Columbine Bakery, Dish!, Main Street Grill, Marko’s, Ristorante Ti Amo, Batter Cupcakes, and The Flying Pig Sandwich Shop and BBQ. Crazy Mountain Brewery and Avon Liquors will be serving beverages.

“Enjoy tastings from renowned local chefs while supporting local youth and family services,” said Michelle Hartel, executive director. “Live entertainment, an exceptional silent auction, and youth leader awards will round out the evenings’ events.”

Tempt your taste buds with the following food selections. Vin48 will be offering fluke crudo with orange ginger sesame vinaigrette, cous cous and micro greens. Dish! will be showcasing shumai, an Asian dumpling filled with shrimp, and will be introducing their newly promoted chef Veronica. The Gore Range Brewery is eager to share their beef stew with seasonal vegetables. Main Street Grill is sure to be a crowd pleaser with their famous ribs. The Flying Pig will feature their delectable pulled pork sliders. For those with a sweet tooth, Batter Cupcakes will prepare enticing treats.

To try them all, and to see what the other restaurants – Ristorante Ti Amo, Marko’s, and Columbine Bakery – will present at this event, buy your tickets to Valley Tastings: Food for Youth. The $50 ticket gets you unlimited tastings from all the restaurants and two glasses of wine or beer.
