GYPSUM, Colorado –A woman on LaGrow Road in Gypsum woke up Sept. 26 to find her car sprayed with shaving cream and written on with blue chalk.

The woman told deputies said she believed the suspect was her son because her sister said the same was done to her car in Eagle. The woman also told deputies her son had been couch surfing lately and she believed he was currently staying at a friend’s house on Spring Circle.

When deputies arrived at that location they saw shaving cream bottles through the window of a vehicle parked in the driveway.

The woman’s son and the friend he was staying with admitted to deputies that they had snuck out of the house at 2 a.m. and sprayed a few of their friend’s cars as a prank. They said they were bored and wanted to have some fun.

But the young men vandalized more than a few of their friends cars. Thirteen reports were made in all – including Eagle Valley High School and a deputy’s car.

The high school had paint over the exterior cafeteria windows and the deputy’s car had “BMHS” and “PIG” written on it. Both young men were served with summons to court with seven counts of second degree tampering.
