Voice Space returns to Frisco
FRISCO – Voice Space, an open space for the community to express their voice and art, is back. It’s been about three years since the last one was held, according to one of the founders Andy Held, who will emcee the event on Monday. At Voice Space, people read passages or their own writings, perform acoustic music, or instigate a topic of conversation. Artwork can also be shared, and there is a generally open platform for topics, including “whatever’s pertinent to you at the time,” Held said.CU student Elizabeth Skrzypczak was integral in bringing the meeting space back. She said, “One of the teachers said the other day, ‘What’s wrong with kids. Nobody’s protesting, nobody’s talking about anything.’
“We need to get together and talk about things,” she said.Voice Space will be Monday at the Frisco Recreation Building with doors opening at 7 p.m. Call (970) 389-5304 for more information.
