Ann Marie has lived in the valley since 1973. She has been a teacher at Red Cliff and Red Sandstone Elementary Schools, and Principal at Meadow Mountain, Red Sandstone, and Eagle Valley Elementary Schools. The Beaver Creek Adventure Weekend needs volunteers!The weekend is set for July 29-31, and there are all kinds of opportunities to lend a hand, including the BC Vertical Ascent and the Adventure Sprint Race. To volunteer or for more information, call Highline Sports, 476-6797, ext. 108. All volunteers will receive a special gift for their efforts.

Phoning for help RE/MAX real estate offices throughout the country are collecting used, deactivated cell phones.

The phones will be sent to the Coalition to Salute America’s Heroes, a nonprofit organization that helps seriously wounded and disabled veterans. This organization recycles phones and turns them into a cash donation.Organizers of the effort first hoped to raise $100,000, but far more has come in so far, and the phone collection lasts through the end of May.
