Join Walking Mountains for the screening of “Chasing Time” to participate in the vital discussion of climate work, burnout, and the importance of intergenerational relationships.

After bringing some of the world’s first and most compelling visual evidence of climate change to a global scale, photographer James Balog returns to Iceland to remove the last time-lapse camera of the 15-year Extreme Ice Survey project. Accompanied by the Emmy-winning film team behind “Chasing Ice,” the group reunites to bring the decades-long project of more than one million images depicting the rapid melting of glaciers around the world to a close. “Chasing Time” is a meditative exploration of time and mortality, as it follows James grappling with the transitory nature of life and what legacy he will leave behind. The film highlights the power and importance of mentorship and intergenerational collaboration, which are necessary to foster hope and inspire action toward a sustainable future.

Walking Mountains’ Sustainable Film Series aims to encourage community dialogue about pressing sustainability issues that need awareness. Join the conversation on working together and inspiring others to address the climate crisis. To view the entire line-up of the Sustainable Film Series, visit WalkingMountains.org/films.
