Wanted: New chainsaw

The folks from Sage Outdoor Adventures cut this tree and several others like it out of the Eagle River. This one was just below Dead Cow Rapids, downstream from Wolcott three miles. As a local logger named Ted Storm was helping Sage’s Darryl Bangert cut this log, saw jammed. The log shifted and spun upstream and under the log. It jerked the logger and his saw into the river. The logger was fine, but his $800 chainsaw was not. It went into the river and didn’t come back. Bangert said he never asks for anything for his annual work of clearing logs from the rivers, making them safe for boaters. But they are asking for help for Storm.
