DENVER, Colorado – Winter weather is slowly loosening its grip on Colorado and temperatures in Denver and elsewhere should get above freezing by tomorrow.
After several days of below-freezing temperatures and several nights of below-zero temperatures, the high in Denver today is expected to reach 29 degrees.
Still, wind chill values today in the city will have the temperature at times feeling more like -2 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
Friday in Denver skies should be mostly sunny and the high should hit 39 degrees, the weather service said.
In the meantime, a wind chill warning posted by the weather service remains in effect for the northern mountains until 9 a.m. this morning.
