Waste Management hosts ‘Earth Day’ in Gypsum

GYPSUM, Colorado “Recycling and sustainable living will be the themes of an Earth Day open house hosted Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. by Waste Management, the company says.

“It doesn’t hurt to play in the dirt” is the slogan Girls Scout Troop 878 created for Waste Management’s Earth Day Celebration. The girls planted trees in celebration of the Earth Day festival.

There also will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the trash-hauling company’s facility near the airport in Gypsum.

There will be crafts and face painting for children and tours of the facility at 321 Spring Creek Road.
