Water, sewer fees to increase

VAIL, Colorado ” Tap fees for water and sewer service within the Eagle River Water and Sanitation District service area will increase 3 percent on Jan. 2.

Tap fees are assessed to new connections to the water and sewer system. They are aimed at recovering costs associated with providing infrastructure and apply to new construction or expansions within the Vail water service area for water taps and within the larger Eagle River Water and Sanitation District service area for sewer taps.

The Upper Eagle Regional Water Authority’s plant investment fees ” similar to tap fees ” will also increase 3 percent effective Jan. 2. These fees apply to new construction on properties needing water service within the authority’s service area, including the town of Avon and the Arrowhead, Bachelor Gulch, Beaver Creek, Berry Creek, Cordillera, Eagle-Vail and Edwards metropolitan districts.



Customers who wish to pay the fees at the current rates may submit payment until the close of business on Dec. 31. For more information, call the district’s customer service at 970-477-5451
