Wayne and Wingnut the Pilot barnstorm the Town of Vail Library
The Summer Reading Program at the Vail Library culminates is a grand performance from 1 to 3 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 4, in the Community Room at the Town of Vail Library. Attendees will receive a visit from ventriloquist Wayne Francis and his sidekick Wingnut the Pilot.
Francis is gifted with a unique style of vocal magic and comedy ventriloquist. He has more than 8,000 performances to his credit and has performed all over the country. He travels to Vail from Denver for the benefit of both guest and resident children.
“My performance is sure to take you on a once-in-a-lifetime flight through the imagination,” he said. “It is more fun than a room full of rhinos.”
He assured the Town of Vail Library that he and his life-sized puppet will “barnstorm their way into the hearts” of summer readers.
The Summer Reading Program is for children ages 5 and up. It is designed to encourage reading and promote library use during the summer weeks. The program includes games and prizes along with the weekly performing artists. Parents may register their child any Monday from 12:45 -1 p.m. and children need not attend all programs to participate. All of the Summer Reading Programs by the Town of Vail Library are free of charge. For more information contact Ann Sinton at 479-2186 or email@example.com.
