Wedding ring stolen from Eagle home
Vail, CO Colorado
EAGLE, Colorado –Police responded to a burglary report at a home north of Eagle last week.
The couple said they’d been gone for the day. When the husband came home he noticed bedroom drawers were open. He and his wife later determined the only item stolen was her wedding ring, worth $12,000. The door of the house was locked when he’d come home but the spare key, which was hidden outside, was missing.
Officers talked to a plumber who was working at a house nearby at the time. He told police he was backing his car out of the residence when he had to stop for a man walking down the street. The man was wearing a dark jogging suit with white stripes down the arms and legs. His hands were in his pockets. He looked to be in his late 30s or early 40s and was about 6 feet tall with a medium build. He had short, dark hair and bushy eyebrows.
