We are an entire Center for Wellness offering such services as Pilates Equipment classes, Pilates Mat, GYROTONIC, Vinyasa Yoga, Our Friday Afternoon Yoga Club with Charry Morris, Pre and Post Natal Yoga, Massage Therapy, and Rolfing. As of 2007, we will be hosting GYROTONIC® , GYROKINESIS, Pilates certification programs.

We are a very specialized studio in that we are able to offer large Pilates Group Equipment classes because we have the most equipment within the valley for one studio. Also, we customize each students program according to their specific needs. For example, we are able to create a program that may include a private workout on the Pilates Equipment followed by a site specific massage depending on their needs. In addition to this, we are also the only center in the valley to offer Rolfing, a holistic approach to total structural alignment. Thus, with these strategies, we have doubled our revenue as well as client base in just one year.

To us, our name Synergy means the working together of two or more people and taking what our students learn in this center and applying it to their everyday lives in order to lead healthier lives. We truly feel our staff is a family; therefore, our students are extended family. We firmly believe in building long-term relationships with our students.

Sandra Herting, a California girl and world traveler, came to Vail a few years ago while in Denver for a Pilates convention and instantly made the decision to call it home.

From summers of surfing in the ocean to winters of snowboarding in the mountains, Sandra enjoys all activities that take her outdoors. However, her intuitive sense about the human body its range of motion, its potential and its overall health – has led her into this vocation, long past the time when Pilates was just the “in” discipline for teachers. As a result, she has become one of the best Pilates and fitness teachers in the Vail Valley.

In years prior to her move to Vail, Sandra focused her undergraduate studies on anatomy and kinesiology. She followed up by earning a certification in Pilates equipment through The Physical Mind Institute with Maria Leone of Body Line Studios in Beverly Hills, California. From the time she was certified, she applied her Pilates work directly to the field of physical therapy. Sandra has thus developed an extremely solid foundation of knowledge about the human body and its ability to be and stay fit, even when challenged by injury, being out of shape or overuse.

Erika Conover, a southern girl from Atlanta, Georgia who graduated from Georgia State University is the wiz behind the business part of Synergy. Also a world traveler, she has been to such places as Antarctica and Africa. Erika enjoys skiing, biking, working out, and cooking.

Erika will tell you without a doubt that purchasing the business was the best thing she has ever done. The corporate life behind her, she now wakes up every morning knowing Synergy belongs to Sandra and herself; but, more importantly, she wakes knowing Synergy is helping make people’s lives better. Both the name and the studio itself represent a positive energy, one that is created each and every day.

About a month ago, the power went out in the studio. All of the sudden, in the midst of 15 people working out on different pieces of equipment, the room was dark. Not a single person hesitated or stopped working out, not one! Our students are truly dedicated.
