Western Colorado land-management councils seek members
COLORADO The Bureau of Land Management is seeking nominations for its two Resource Advisory Councils in western Colorado. The 15-member citizen councils are advise the federal agency on land management issues.Eagle County is covered by the Northwest Colorado Resource Advisory Council, which has found openings and also includes Grand Junction, Kremmling, Craig and Meeker. Council members serve three-year terms. The councils include member from ranching, energy and other industries; environmental groups; and local governments. Candidates may nominate themselves or be nominated by others.
