Western Slope convenience store robbed

BATTLEMENT MESA, Colorado ” Two people wearing ski masks robbed a Kum-N-Go convenience store in Battlement Mesa, Colorado Sunday night.

The robbery occurred shortly after 9:30 p.m. near at the corner of Tamarisk Trail and Stone Quarry Road.

A clerk was held at gunpoint, and the suspects fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash, the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Battlement Mesa is about 45 miles west of Glenwood Springs along Interstate 70.
