WestStar bank announces promotions

EAGLE COUNTY – WestStar Bank has made several promotions in Eagle County.Rob Verratti has been appointed to senior vice president, senior credit officer, and Joel Cervantes has been appointed to vice president, market manager.At its administrative offices in Gypsum, Terry Sherrill has been promoted to senior vice president, director internal audit and compliance; Tom Doerr is vice president, consumer loan manager; Martin Tudor to vice President, credit administration; and Yvonne Rogers-Blakeman was appointed assistant vice president, retail support.Verratti joined the bank in September 2002 and was the senior credit officer for the Eagle region. In his new position, Verratti will manage the commercial loan portfolio in Eagle County. Verratti is a senior fellow at the Vail Leadership Institute’s American Leadership Forum and as a lacrosse coach for Western Colorado Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League in EdwardsCervantes, who has been with WestStar since June 2000, was previously assistant vice president for retail operations for the Eagle Region. He assumes will manage the Vail market. “We are very pleased to have had Rob and Joel on our WestStar team,”” said Dan Godec, chief executive of WestStar Bank. “Their knowledge, experience and background, coupled with their outstanding leadership abilities, make them both a tremendous addition to the bank.”In Gypsum, Sherrill has 20 years of experience in internal bank auditing. Her responsibilities include planning and directing the internal audits. Doerr, who starting for working for WestStar in 2002, will manage all facets of the bank’s consumer, small business and home-equity loan portfolios. Tudor will continue to develop and manage WestStar’s internal credit review function.
