What trains in Vail Valley are there to stop for?

This letter is a serious inquiry to county officials who deem it necessary for all cars to stop at the various train tracks we encounter throughout the Vail Valley.

I am probably one of the few residents who can remember the last time a train passed through Edwards and Avon.

As the new high school nears completion and traffic is destined to increase a great deal in the area, why must every car stop at the train tracks that haven’t felt the wheels of a train in 15 years and have 4 feet of snow piled atop them? This “law” is a ridiculous waste of time and gas. Do everyone (and our environment) a favor, and get rid of those stop signs.
