What will Vail movies cost?

VAIL, Colorado ” The planned Solaris movie theater won’t exclude kids, and its prices will sometimes be competitive with other local theaters, the developer said.

The Vail Village movie theater, expected to open in the summer of 2010, will be a Cinebistro, which is a luxury chain where you can order gourmet food and sit in leather loveseat-style chairs.

The cost of a nighttime, weekend movie ticket at the Miami Cinebistro is $17. But in Vail, there will be specials for locals and in the offseasons, said Craig Cohn, director of sales and leasing for Solaris.

“At times of the year, it will be competitive with other theaters in the area,” Cohn said.

There could also be deals if you see a movie and go bowling ” the complex will include a bowling alley ” Cohn said.

The Longevity Project is an annual campaign to help educate readers about what it takes to live a long, fulfilling life in our valley. This year Kevin shares his story of hope and celebration of life with his presentation Cracked, Not Broken as we explore the critical and relevant topic of mental health.

While other Cinebistros don’t allow children at night, this theater will make efforts to be inclusive to children, Cohn said.

“It is not the theater operator’s intention to exclude people under 21 from the theater as part of the business model,” Cohn said.
