EAGLE COUNTY — A partnership between the Vail Symposium and Vail Valley Partnership has led to a program Wednesday that will offer an overview of Eagle County's economy and leading economic indicators. The program, to be held at Colorado Mountain College in Edwards, will include a diverse panel of local business people. Sign-in and breakfast begins at 8:30 a.m. The program starts at 9 a.m.

"A vibrant small business sector is a vital ingredient for a healthy market economy. Conversely, a vibrant local community is a vital ingredient for the health of small businesses," Vail Valley Partnership President and CEO Chris Romer said. "The business forum will review key economic indicators and provide the opportunity to discuss the foundational pieces of Eagle County's economy with business leaders from across public and private sectors, in order to help attendees better understand the foundational pieces of our economy."

WHO WILL PRESENT?

Panelists for the program include Eagle County Manager Brent McFall, Michael Glass, of Alpine Bank; Trevor Theelke, of Land Title Guarantee Co.; Rachel Lunney, of the Northwest Colorado Council of Governments; and Mike Pearson, of NAI Commercial Real Estate.

This is the third program the Vail Symposium and the Vail Valley Partnership have collaborated on to explore local issues including health care and the economic status of women in Colorado.

"It is great to convene as a community to learn about the community," said Dale Mosier, Vail Symposium board of directors chairman. "Now we turn our attention to the economy, a subject we should all treat with a great deal of importance."
