Battle Mountain speech and debate named "Coach of the Year'

When you get around teacher Suzanne Foster, you better be excited. Her enthusiasm is contagious, and if you don’t have a passion it’s best just to walk away.

Foster, a teacher at Battle Mountain High School, seems to get more enthusiastic with age. She was just named the Coach of the Year in our six-state region. And that’s huge, because not only is this a big honor – it was given to her by her peers.

“We are so fortunate to have someone with Suzanne’s dedication working with our kids,” says Eagle County School District’s spokeswoman, Pam Boyd. “It’s so nice that she was recognized by her peers and given this honor.”
