Where credit’s due for Hogs and Rods toy run

Glen Brown
Gypsum, CO, Colorado

I was recently featured in a picture on the front page of the Vail Daily on Nov. 2 about the 12th annual Hogs and Rods toy run.

Even though it shows me leading the pack in my Santa suit, I have little to do with organizing this event.

The real thanks should go to April Ewing, Daryl and Ada Ewing of Gypsum. These are the people who put it all together.

Along with The Salvation Army, the Brush Creek Saloon and Finnegan’s Wake (who fed all of us when we arrived) ” not to forget everyone that participated in the event.

Let’s give credit where credit is due. From all the bikes and cars and generous people, it truly is a worthwhile event.

Special thanks to the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office for the police escort to help keep the bikes together and safe. Happy holidays to everyone.
