WhiteWater Ramble plays free Vail concert Thursday
VAIL – Street Beat returns to Solaris in Vail Village Thursda at 6:30 p.m. with Colorado-based, high-octane dancegrass band WhiteWater Ramble.Priding themselves on being Rocky Mountain-bred, WhiteWater Ramble uses a simple recipe to craft its sound – bluegrass instrumentation, drums and a boundary-less approach to “grassing-up” everything from disco house grooves to roots and Americana. Combining elements of mandolin, fiddle, acoustic guitar, upright bass, drums and vocals, the quintet explores the musical boundaries of multiple genres to fuel its own mixture of original music and innovative cover song interpretations. Whether playing an intimate encore, acoustic and unplugged in the crowd, or surfing on top of the upright bass, WhiteWater Ramble delivers a powerful and memorable live performance.”WhiteWater Ramble has their feet planted in more than one world,” said Tim Carbone, violinist and vocalist for Railroad Earth, “No matter which world you prefer – bluegrass, rock, electronica or the myriad combinations – WhiteWater Ramble will take you there on a fantastic ride.”The next two shows in the Street Beat series are Leroy Justice on Feb. 16 and Less Than Jake on March 8.; Lez Zeppelin on March 15; G. Love & Special Sauce on March 22; Rootz Underground on March 29; Kinky on April 5 and the final show on April 12 with Funkiphino.
