William S. Pintzow: Support for Israel is justified

Dr. William S. Pintzow

Cathleen Krahe in her recent letter complained that the “U.S. has an Israeli bias,” but she certainly didn’t confuse the issues with the facts.

Could the “bias” of the U.S. favoring Israel be caused by the fact that Israel is the only democratic nation with the rule of law in the middle of a cesspool of backward, corrupt nations?

Could it be because Israel has given back much land that it conquered after being attacked, such as the Sinai Peninsula and Gaza? In return for this, Israel received suicide bombers and rockets used against civilians. Ms.Krahe mentions that Hamas helps the social and economic needs of the Palestinians, but she neglects to mention that the official policy of Hamas is the destruction of Israel. Hitler took care of the needs of the German people too, and look what that got the world. Their terrorist track record is the reason the West has imposed sanctions against them.

The deplorable conditions of the Palestinians are caused by the fact that the original refugees that were produced by the creation of Israel, were purposefully and maliciously not allowed to be assimilated by other Arab countries. Instead, they were kept in those horrible camps and bred with a diet of hate for the past 60 years for the purpose of eventually destroying Israel. This was the Arabs’ diabolical plan and it has been working well. Ms. Krahe didn’t bother to mention the fact that millions of Christians and Jews have been expelled from most Arab nations during the past 50 years, but they were assimilated without having to resort to suicide bombers.

The Palestinians also had the propensity to pick the worst leaders and supporters for the past 80 years. In World War I it was Germany, in World War II it was Hitler, in the Six Day War it was Arafat, in Desert Storm it was Saddam Hussein, and lastly, Hamas.

Needless to say, these were the people that cheered on “911” while the towers burned.

The slim hope of peace is that Hamas will moderate its stance and cooperate with Israel and the West. Maybe then, this will give the Palestinian people a decent life.

Yes, thank goodness we have that bias toward Israel. It exists for very obvious and noble reasons, and hopefully, it will continue.
