Willy Wonka Kids perform Thursday in Edwards

EDWARDS, Colorado – Meadow Mountain Elementary School will present an all-student cast production of “Willy Wonka Kids” Thursday, at 6 p.m., at the Battle Mountain High School auditorium in Edwards.

Long-time local children’s theatre veteran Mike Boeke is directing the play and has been working with the second grade through fifth grade students on the production for the past two months.

The play is offered as an elective to students as part of Meadow Mountain’s Expeditionary Learning program.

Tickets for the performance are free for children aged 3 and under, $5 for adults and children aged 4 and up, and $15 for families of three or more. There will also be a special prize awarded to the person who finds the ‘Golden Ticket’ at the performance.

Meadow Mountain Elementary School’s presentation of “Willy Wonka Kids” is based on the Book “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” by Roald Dahl and brought to the Vail Valley by Music Theatre International of New York.
