Windy City band blows into Brush Creek
EAGLE – Chicago-based funk- jazz group Spare Parts will be performing at 9:30 p.m. Saturday at the Brush Creek Saloon in Eagle. It’s $5 at the door. The group tours in the Midwest and Colorado this spring to promote its new self-titled EP. Cities include Denver, Chicago, Fort. Collins, Keystone, Gunnison, Eagle, Iowa City and Rockford to name a few. This is Spare Parts first tour in the West. Their new self-titled EP will be available at the shows for $8. Spare Parts’ high-energy shows fuse many styles of music including funk, jazz, rock, electronica, and soul. Shane Jonas (vocals/ trumpet/ keys), Kevin Kozol (keyboard), Colin Scott (bass) and Mike Bruno (drums/ electronics) form the group. The players’ influences include Primus, Weather Report, Led Zeppelin and Steely Dan.
“No matter who is in the crowd, Spare Parts is going to rock their worlds,” said Jason Soreno of The Pulse.
