Winter storm warning for Vail

VAIL, Colorado ” A winter storm warning is in effect until 6 p.m. Thursday for much of the High Country, including Vail.

Expect 10 to 20 inches of snow to fall by late Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

Total snowfall could be 1 to 3 feet in some areas.

It will be windy, too, with southwest winds of 20 to 30 mph, gusting up to 50 mph.

Whiteout conditions are possible.
