The festival recently announced the second-annual WinterWonderGrass Kick Off Party at the Vilar Performing Arts Center on Thursday, Feb. 18, celebrating music, arts and local Colorado brews.

Portland, Oregon, bluegrass-infused rock band Fruition will headline, joined by the WinterWonderGrass Allstars, including Peter Rowan and members of Colorado favorites Leftover Salmon. North Carolina bluegrass and folk duo Mandolin Orange opens.

“Once again, we are excited to partner with the Vilar Performing Arts Center, one of the most beautiful rooms in the country,” said Scott Stoughton, founder and creator of WinterWonderGrass. “The VPAC has been dedicated to bringing world-class music and events to the valley, and we feel nothing says that better then hosting a kickoff to WinterWonderGrass with some of our biggest names.

“In the spirit of WWG, we will be hosting a pretty loose musical gathering to inspire collaboration among members of Leftover Salmon, Peter Rowan, Fruition and what is sure to be some very special guests. We look forward to this intimate pre-festival gathering to meet and greet our fans, friends, family and artists.”

The night will also include a curated photo gallery in the lobby, with autographed photos from past WinterWonderGrass festivals. The photographs will be included in a silent auction, and proceeds will be donated to the music program at the Education Foundation of Eagle County.
