Re: “Vail Resorts splits with Colorado Ski Country USA”

Jerry, David and Amy, all of us at Battle Mountain High extend our sympathies to you. You had a great mom and a great wife. For that you can be thankful. Our thoughts are with you all and we fondly remember your mom! She did so much for our school and raised two great kids. Take care.

Re: “Vail Mountain a green leader”

Something often forgotten is that Vail Mountain is the only place in the valley that can recycle 1-7 plastics AND paperboard, e.g. cereal boxes and beer packaging.

Re: “Vail Resorts splits with Colorado Ski Country USA”

Just because we’re biggest we can quit! This will really hurt the organization that has supported Colorado skiing successfully!

Re: “Questions about Eagle River Station”

Fred, well said and all of your points are valid. To proceed with large-scale development in this economy as if it was 2002, with that era’s lack of hard figures and only a now-obvious misplaced belief that real estate values can never come down, is a recipe for nothing but disaster.

Re: “Red Canyon grad: ‘I owe my life to this school'”

Wow, that is a great article. It’s great to hear about these kids turning their lives around. Good job, graduates.

Re: “Picking up speed on Vail Mountain”

How about the numerous quiet days in the back when there are no lines and the “plodding” ride up chair 5 is an unhurried and pleasant experience? There is already an abundance of acreage served up on the high speed platter. This is a trade of character for expedited tourism and marketing. The thought of another lift scarring the magnificence of Sun Down bowl is nauseating.
