You say the airline never told you this? Every time you purchase a ticket there is always a note saying arrive at least 90 minutes to two hours before your flight. Even at little old Eagle County Airport, you have to follow the rules. Do you really expect to roll into the parking lot, and just walk onto the plane? Take some personal responsibility for your actions, and stop blaming others. Call the airline if you have a beef. They operate their flights, not the airport. Better yet, get with the program, forgo some of your beauty sleep, and get to the airport just a wee bit earlier.Re: Hippies headed to northern Colorado forestThe Rainbow Family is celebrating the 35th-year anniversary of joining for peace in the state it all originated in, Colorado. We are people with jobs, family, homes, committed relationships, and some with no job, no food, no clean clothes. Bottom line, we celebrate one another for who we are, not who society wants us to be. We live on the land a lot cleaner than cities. We are resourceful, by using downed trees for construction and when permitted fires. We do not cut timber like our government for sale to other countries. We do not sell off our resources. I think the reason the Forest Service does not want people to be in the woods, is based on the premise that July Fourth weekend is capitalists’ dream for making money on tourism. With hippies in the woods living freely, money is made on foods and gas needs, not tokens “Made in China.” Visit http://www.welcomehome.org to get a picture of family in the Rainbow. Do more research before providing exploitive information to the masses. Thank you and see you in the woods!Re: Vail Renaissance is too high, critics sayThe reactionary opposition to Crossroads has nothing to do with being “progressives (with a capital P)” or “conservatives with a capital C.” It is a mistake to assume this has anything to do with being politically conservative. If anything, political conservatives support economic development and good business like the Solaris project, and so-called “Progressives” do their damnedest to retard any and all development at any cost. So please do not associate conservatives with the childish actions of the Vail Renaissance critics.Re: Evolution a worldview, not scienceI believe in God, and I believe in evolution. It is faith in whatever we believe that gives us answers for our own purpose. We shouldn’t have to follow Bible studies for our own answers. And we shouldn’t take a science textbook as our Bible. But take it as you like. No pressure from these words. We are all here for a reason I believe, whether God gave unto us life, or time will tell what we look like in the future. By then, we will probably know the cure for AIDS. And we will know the truth.Whatever limits us, we call fate. RWE Re: Is ‘home rule’ cruising toward fall approval?Of course the commission members are in favor of their proposal. This will fail in the election because it isn’t necessary.Re: It took decades, but doctor wins crusade against smokingVery unfortunate. Smoking policies should continue to be the choice of private business owners in a free society.I do hope the current results of the antismoking movement opens the eyes of all Americans to watch more carefully when the next neurotic gets on the soapbox. The airline smoking ban was the small step that allowed these fanatics to move our country even closer to ideologies of the fascist regimes we fought and conquered in WWII, just a short time ago. However, there are a good number of American citizens that will not allow themselves to be spoon fed by the do-gooders and they have been shaken awake from their Rip Van Winkle slumber. The debate on the smoking ban topics are far from over contrary to how the antismokers feel concerning the recent validation of their cause by the SG. Much will be revealed about the lack of validity of the SGs report in the coming months.Re: What babies wantBoth the parent workshops and the Sign, Say & Play sessions include kits to help everyone who helps care for the child – a magnetic cheatsheet for the refrigerator, bookmarks for particular books, and babysitters are more than welcome to attend the parent workshop and learn for themselves.Vail, Colorado
