Vail Daily, Vail Colorado COOn the Vail Daily Web site, you can comment on each story or editorial you read there. Here, we publish excerpts of those comments:Re: A perfect pair: Diane and her dogWow! Amazing! Really enjoyed the article and would like to hear more of how Diane Trained her legitimate service dog. She sounds like an amazing women not willing to give up and able to come up with creative alternatives to deal with her rare condition!I truly would like to know more and hope to hear when her books are coming out. I am sure they will be as amazing as she and her dog are. Diane Dike and her service dog surely the perfect pair looking forward to hearing more. Someone e-mailed this to me. I am glad.Re: Lynx habitat may be at risk, studies findYeah, it’s great mastodon habitat too. Maybe we should preserve it in case some wacko succeeds in cloning one. Oops, they may be too busy burning down ski lodges.Re: Lynx habitat may be at risk, studies findLet me set the record straight once and for all about the missing lynx. The only lynx in this area are being worn by out of town tourists as coats. Otherwise, the only place they can be seen is in your dreams.Re: Letters to the EditorEven if our taxes have not been raised to fund the Eagle County TV channel, they are still using our money to fund it. Remember that these commissioners are still working for us and we need to make it known that this is a waste of our funds. It only serves a small portion of the county. And we will only hear what the commissioners want us to hear.Government TV is a bad deal. Re: Letters to the EditorI think being able to watch the county meetings is a good thing, it shows that they are open about what is going on. I do wish we could see it on the Internet like some other places are doing.Re: D.R.: Dem candidates most interestingYou forgot about Newt Gingrich. He could well end up being a very strong candidate and no one can doubt his leadership abilities after his successful Contract With America in 1994.Re: Lynx habitat may be at risk, studies findThe Vail Daily really needs to add a “developer’s forum” where our bulldozing and asphalt-laying friends can gather to complain about any and all land-use regulations. These poor folk can barely provide for their families because the Vail Valley is such a hard place to do business. Development has all but stopped and our local economy is on the verge of collapse due to silly environmental concerns. Remember, developers always know what is best for the local populace. Re: D.R.: Dem candidates most interesting”Those ‘lefties’ might have some goofy ideas about love truly conquering all, but they seem to be reining in their neighbors in the pews to the right who have been stunned a bit too often now with leaders exposing themselves – quite literally in some cases – as hypocrites.”Actually Don Rogers, those “neighbors in the pews” (why don’t you ever just call them Christians instead of phrases like that?) are not adopting liberal ideology solely because of political reasons. They are moving towards the left politically because of liberal theology first. Their liberal theology in turn makes them think politically liberal, not the other way around as you poorly assume. And believe me, a person won’t understand love absolutely through anything political or of the growing popularity of the secularists materialism worldview. Editor’s note: Well those in the pews to the left also happen to be Christians. The political right has no special purchase on faith.
