Re: Voters support home rule in survey

How could the sampling of 400 voters be construed as being representative of the opinion of the voters? The voters have already told you their opinion, and yet the County paid $4,500 to conduct this survey. What is up with our commissioners? If the voters say no, then drop the issue. Why continue to beat a dead horse?

Re: Vail celebrity couple expecting baby

Congratulations! They are such a cute couple with a lot of substance. We wish you all the best.

Re: One person killed in rollover accident

You were a great kid, Matt. My heart goes out to your family.

Re: Wisdom from the Web

Vail Valley Medical Center: Greg Repetti should be focusing on spending funds on core needs, not sports performance centers. Paying nurses more and creating a healthy work environment would be a great start.

We cannot afford to lose more doctors from this community, and without a solid nursing staff to support them, who can blame them for leaving the valley? We need gerontologists, cardiologists and neurologists, not only sports medicine doctors.

Re: Unteachable lessons about war

Excellent article by Pam Boyd covering a local Veterans of Foreign Wars community service project. The 10 veterans who who spoke at Red Canyon High School are active members of the Minturn VFW Post 10721.
