Re: Cheap hotel rooms disappearing in Vail

I am so happy that the cheapskates are being forced out of Vail. Next, raise the price of Colorado Cards to $600 or more.

These people need to stay over the pass in Summit County, where they belong!

Re: Cheap hotel rooms disappearing in Vail

Just because I don’t want to spend $500 on a room doesn’t mean I’m a cheapskate!

I think cheapskates are probably the day skiers (probably snowboarders) who drive up for the day, park on the street, at City Market, or in the municipal building lot, pack their lunch, and leave without spending a dime.

Re: Spring back ” again

I’m glad Highline, and Vail Resorts are bringing something like this to the table at the end of each season. Lots of fun, great way to end it, and great job on Kid Rock.

Re: Here comes downtown Avon

Oh great. Now Avon is just like New York City, Denver and San Francisco. So much for avoiding the big city life. What’s next? A skyscraper, not that the Westin isn’t one compared to what should be built in the valley.

Remember when the height of the flagpole at Wal-Mart was an issue?

Re: Vail’s burning question

How about underground parking at Ford Park athletic fields? Then put a sport turf field on top of the parking that could be used for events and athletic contests.

The $8 million (or part of it) could be used as seed money and the paid parking would pay for itself over time.
