I saw the film and thought it was very effective and pretty well balanced. It certainly has made an impression on those who have seen it in my part of Oregon, where we’re experiencing growth pressures that could be very destructive if not resisted. The home rule charter doesn’t allow citizens the right to petition about spending decisions. Also, only the commissioners have the right to referendum. In your hurry to advocate for home rule, you don’t seem to know what you are talking about or you haven’t read the charter. zuzu

Our commissioners didn’t “vote” on child care taxes anymore than they “voted” to start this re-election home rule process that you have upheld as a perfectly legal and legit thing to do. hm123
