Vail Daily, Vail Colorado COOn the Vail Daily Web site, you can comment on each story or editorial you read there. Here, we publish excerpts of those comments:We need voucher systemHeather Lemon wrote: “Somehow lost in this conversation is the reality that WE, as parents and family, are primarily responsible for our children’s education. If we are not actively engaged in the lives of our kids, we have abdicated our personal responsibilities.” She failed to mention that without vouchers, most parents cannot afford to remove their children from the failed public school system that indoctrinates our children in liberalism. Those parents who cannot afford to pay twice, that is, taxes to the liberal public system, and then pay for a private system, haven’t “abdicated (their) personal responsibilities,” but a government that doesn’t allow that freedom under the lie of “separation of church and state” that does not exist in our constitution, is the culprit. On the other hand, maybe the parents that allow this government to get away with this lie do have some responsibility for not holding their government accountable for failing to allow financial choice in education via the voucher system.
