On the Vail Daily Web site, readers can comment on each story or editorial they read there. Here we publish excerpts of those comments:Re: Parting shots at the liberalsAny “hypothesis” that relies on a creator/designer/god is theology, not science.Re: Avon closer to crossing railroad Ms. Nichole Frey: Thank you for your article …Here are a few facts that were not part of your article. East West Partners has submitted their proposed PUD amendment to the town of Avon for the development of the Confluence site. The original approved, development plan for the Confluence site included among other things, a convention center, and a public parking structure. Under EWP’s proposed PUD amendment, both these items have been removed. It is not clear under their PUD amendment that there will be any public parking on that site, in addition to what guests and employees will have available under ground. In short, no public parking for all the “shops, restaurants and lodging” you mention in your article. Nor any public parking for the proposed new gondola from Avon to Beaver Creek Landing. I look forward to you next article (after speaking with EWP) defining exactly how many public parking spaces will be available for the working, taxpaying Avon families that live in Avon, shop in Avon, dine in Avon, and want to ski from Avon.Vail, Colorado
